Two Berlin men accused of bringing an
arsenal of weapons to the Markesan High School graduation are
facing numerous charges.
Police say they found a gun, ammunition and more than a dozen
knives, swords and machetes on the men and in their vehicle, which
was parked at the school last Friday.
A custodian at the high school called police after seeing the
two standing near their car dressed in black leather trench coats.
Nineteen-year-old Andrew Adams and 27-year-old Jesse LaRue are
being held in the Green Lake County Jail.
A Markesan police officer says he struggled with Adams after
following the two to a nearby convenience store. The officer says
Adams was armed with a loaded handgun and fled. LaRue had
barricaded himself in the bathroom where he was arrested.
Adams was taken into custody after he returned to the school's
parking lot to get his car.
Police say they also found a grim reaper and a Freddy Krueger
mask in the car along with a wooden stake and several clubs.
