No to Online Hunting

The state Senate today says ``no'' to hunting online.

The Senate passed a bill that says you must be in physical possession of your gun if you want to hunt. The state Assembly already has approved the measure. Now it goes to Governor Doyle, who must sign it before it can become law.

Wisconsin joins a host of other states that have taken action
after a San Antonio businessman created a Web site designed to let
hunters shoot exotic animals or wild pigs on his private ranch by
remote control via a click of the mouse.

John Lockwood, who owns Live-shot.com, has said the site is
designed to let disabled people enjoy hunting and no one on the
ranch aims the gun for online hunters.
