One man is taken into custody Friday night after Dane County's SWAT team receives reports of shots being fired from the backyard of an area home.
Fitchburg Police were called to 2851 Charleston Drive at around 8 p.m. following complaints of a man firing a handgun from the deck of this house.
One neighbor reported hearing three shots and told police the man was intoxicated.
With the help of a SWAT team, police persuaded Steven Cary, 43, to surrender. Cary is tentatively charged with disorderly conduct.
