Fallout Continues Over Former UW Administrator

Print

Republican lawmakers want Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager to investigate the University of Wisconsin's handling of a former top administrator's employment.

Representative Rob Kreibich of Eau Claire and ten of his colleagues have asked Lautenschlager today to look into allegations surrounding Paul Barrows.

He's the former vice chancellor of student affairs who collected
his $192,000 salary while he was looking for other jobs during seven months of paid leave.

A UW-Madison law professor is currently conducting the investigation into a number of allegations swirling around Barrows' employment.

A Department of Justice spokesman says the agency is reviewing
the request to take over the probe.
