Tactical officers from the Madison Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff's Department reportedly take a number of suspects into custody on Madison's east side.
NBC 15 News captured the scene as it unfolded Monday evening. Police snipers took position on the lawn outside an apartment in the 3100 block of Webb Avenue, that's just off of East Washington Avenue near Highway 30.
Our crew then saw the tactical team move into position. There are unconfirmed reports seven people were taken into custody there. But both Madison Police and the Dane County Sheriff's Department are not releasing or confirming any details about the raid.
You might recall, there was a tactical operation last Thursday night at a home on Madison's east side. In that operation, one person was taken into custody for questioning about a drive-by shooting in the Village of Oregon that left three people injured.
