Red Cross Reaches Out to Tornado Victims

Video will be available shortly.

The Badger Chapter of Red Cross has been on hand to help out those who are dealing with loss and damage.

They have set up a shelter and are feeding victims and volunteers meals and helping them with anything else they need.

Although the Red Cross generally deals with helping people physically with shelter, food, and clothes, they also have on hand licensed mental health professionals to help victims cope with the devastation. Pam Moen from the Badger Chapter says, " most of the time what they need is just someone to talk to and share their feelings with, kind of understand that of course the anxiety or fears that they're having are pretty normal and pretty much to be expected at a time like this.

The Red Cross is getting a supply boost from Wal-Mart on Saturday. Managers tell NBC 15 they are expecting a truck load with about 12,000 bottles of water for the Red Cross.

And if you would like to help with the relief effort you can call (608) 233?9300 in Dane County. In Richland County you can call (608)647?2725.
