Three DeForest High School students are dead following a fiery crash on the interstate early Sunday morning.
It happened just before 6 a.m. on I?39, near Richards Road in Columbia County.
Wisconsin State Patrol tells us a pickup truck left the road, striking a concrete pillar. Moments later, the truck reportedly burst into flames.
Sixteen-year-old Kyle Reigstad, of DeForest, 17-year-old Kass Konz from Windsor, and a 15-year-old Sun Prairie boy were all killed instantly.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
