The Circus World Museum is carrying out a very interesting fundraising event, they are selling elephant manure.
On Saturday, gardening enthusiasts could stop by Circus World and take away as much manure as they wanted for a donation to the museum.
Studies show elephant manure is rich in nutrients and benefits to the soil outweigh those of traditional cow manures. So gardeners "in the know" took advantage of the opportunity to load up some of their own elephant manure.
Lu Ferron from the Circus World Museum says, "There's people from all over from the Madison area and south western Wisconsin, locals who are coming in and driving away with smiles on their face and aromatic brown gold in their back seat."
If you missed your chance to get your manure this weekend, Ferron says you can just call the museum and set up a time to pick it up your share, just call (608) 356-8341
