The Common Sense Coalition released its long term agenda today
with some ideas on how to make the city better.
The Madison alliance of officials, business owners and workers says the city needs to focus on economic development, education, and quality of life issues.
One proposal is to create an office of economic development. Ray Allen from the Common Sense Coalition says, "It is absolutely necessary. It needs to be implemented. We need leadership to change the anti-business perception that this city has."
Other Common Sense goals include getting the school district and M.A.T.C to work together. Also, making sure all workers on city funded projects get paid the prevailing wage and get health insurance.
