Police say it happened right here in Madison at the Westgate Mall. Just this past Monday authorities say a woman entered a restroom stall and while inside noticed a man peeping over the top of it from the next stall.

"The suspect took off running," say Madison Police Lieutenant, Dan Olivas. "He ran out of Westgate Mall. The employees at the mall contacted police."

Authorities arrested 19 year old Byron Mitchell and are charging him with 2 counts disorderly conduct. We caught up with Mitchell's mother who had spoken with him after he was arrested and had this to say.

"He said he didn't (do it) but I don't know," says mother Carolyn Deleon. "I just don't know what to think because I don't see my son as being like that."

Mall employees set up a sting operation to catch Mitchell in the act but authorities say this is not the first time that a peeping Tom has been spotted at the mall.

"It's very concerning to us that it's being under reported," says Olivas. "If there are other people out there that have been victimized in this fashion we'd like them to contact the police department."

None of the women accusing Mitchell say he hurt them in any way. He's currently on a probation hold and awaiting a court appearance.

"I can only say that I am truly sorry because I would be totally offended if someone tried to peep in on me while I'm privately using the bathroom," says Deleon.

"D", I guess I dont understand your point about the CCAP thing? It's on the web for a reason, and it is public record. What's wrong with looking these people up to see what their priors are? You a relative or friend of this creep? And yes, I did use a slang word to describe him! What you want me to say, this "wonderful man"? He is apparently a troublemaker and has been in trouble with the law on more than one occasion.

Roadblock you are in my way! 8:05a.m. There is a big difference in using fear versus having some kids only understanding that type of consequence. My dad is 80 years old. Sicilian, need I say more? The iron fist rules the household! Thats a joke. I assure you going back to his parents and how HE was brought up, If our family had a real father the family would not be the way it is today. PERIOD!

This guy already has a case pending for the same type of thing from a few months ago. It happend at Wal-Mart and he was take away by the police then. When will they lock this guy up for good, or will someone have to get hurt first. Sad.

THANK YOU ANONYMOUS COULD'T AGREE MORE i was no angel as a kid and had my little run-ins, but it the fear of my father's wrath that kept me from growing up like todays youth. I am not saying your kids should fear you, but "wait 'til your dad gets home" was not something i liked to hear and kept me from getting stupid. Today's kids have no fear of or RESPECT FOR their parents or the police/law. They know their parents will defend them and they'll get a slap on the wrist. I didn't really FEAR my dad and grew up with love and respect for him and didn't want to disappoint him. Today's kids get told "no" or "time-out" and everything is back to normal with the kid thinking they can do whatever they want with no repercussions.

Officer Friendly, I totally agree with you. These are the same punks that demand that we "respect them". They were never taught that respect is earned and that to get it, you must respect others.

Yeah Burt, I know what you mean. I used to deal with this everyday. Someday when he shoots or robs someone or whatever it'll be the same thing. "My son doesn't do that, he's a good kid". The majority of shootings and cuttings we went to that involved teens and young adults had the same drum beat. You'd tell the parents that their kid just smacked a kid over the head with a bottle because he(she) said something or looked at him(her) the wrong way and they'd sit there and tell us "Well I tell my kids's they don't have to let anyone talk to them that way". Or how about this one? We'd respond to a call for police and the kid's don't want to open the door and let us in. The parents tell us "Well I tell my kids not to open the door for anyone". Tell your kids to hate the police and question them, real smart isn't it? It all boils down to pride. Pride is responsible for most of the fights, shootings, cuttings amongst the younger ones.

I hope he gets the help he needs too: while he's in prison. And D, I'm guessing by your knowledge of the abbreviation 'CCAP', you've been there too. And I'd also guess that you've got no life yourself, spending time calling names via the internet.

He will get a slap on the wrist for this! My wife had a guy masterbate in public in front of her last summer when she was walking home. He followed her and than started doing his thing. The most he could get was 9 months on a misdameanor! We could not believe it! I would think we all know what these perverts next step is so why would we not lock them up and throw away the key.....
