Credit: WLUK/Mike Moon

UPDATED Tuesday, February 19, 2013 --- 4:38 p.m.

From our news partner, WLUK in Green Bay:

OSHKOSH - The Highway 41 bridge over Lake Butte des Morts in Oshkosh has reopened to traffic headed north after a pileup shut it down for several hours.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office says 24 vehicles were piled up on the bridge. A FOX 11 photojournalist caught up in the pileup says some semis were involved in the chain-reaction crash.

The State Patrol said the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. The highway reopened just before 4 p.m.

Traffic was being re-routed through the city of Oshkosh. The State Patrol says traffic was also backed up on Hwy. 41 southbound.

Slippery roads have been reported across Northeast Wisconsin after an evening of rain, which turned into snow late Monday night and continued Tuesday morning.

FOX 11's Alex Ronallo will have the latest on the road conditions tonight on FOX 11 News at Five and Nine.

41 is a drive at your own risk deal....nobody drives anywhere near the speed limit - including semi's...and good luck ever seeing any cop's actually running traffic....same old song and dance....you don't enforce speed limits or traffic laws - this is the result.
