According to a news release from the Madison Police Department:

On Friday night around 11:38 p.m. Madison Police went to Atwood Avenue where a 57-year-old Stoughton woman had just been “shot” with a couple of paint balls. The victim was struck in the chest and stomach, and was complaining of pain.

She said the shooter was inside a car that drove by heading towards Monona on Atwood. A witness said he could see two men in the front of the red car, and two women in the back. He thought it was a four-door Pontiac Grand Am. The victim said a second person was also hit but left. Officers found multiple rounds had been fired, with several hitting a nearby building. Dane County dispatchers indicated similar paint ball incidents had been reported earlier on the west side of Madison, and in Monona.

Teens can have fun in less dangerous and more productive ways, than shooting a paintball at someone when they aren't in a paintball range. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

Thing is paintball guns look like real guns. Someone watching events unfold may not be able to tell the difference from a real gun. One of these kids is going to end up getting shot... for real.

Sounds to me, like some teens having what they call a good time,"fun". I'm just thankful it wasn't real guns with bullets.
