Four Arrested in Two-County Drug Bust

Police arrest four people for manufacturing marijuana.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office made three of those arrests, including Peter Fortlage, 41, and Sean Barry, 48, both of Madison, and James Laing, Jr., 48, of Waterloo.

Police searches turned up over 15 pounds of marijuana, along with guns, money and drug paraphernalia.

After that, investigators headed to Dane County where they investigated another marijuana grow operation.

Police searched a home and arrested Christian Hopka, 61, of rural Deerfield.

All four are in jail before Monday court appearances.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office expects to make more arrests.

Your a bunch of freakin idiots!!!!!!!!! Grow up Jake, you got nothing better to do than poke fun at others? Your just mad because you are a "special child" and the doctors told you you couldn't smoke it! Get a life and keep your thoughts to yourself.

there's a group of people who can appreciate the following: "Don't forget to take a towel!" (that would be fans of South Park, and the character "Towley", a dope smoking talking towel with a computer microchip)! I agree with Jake- what a bunch of idiots! Boy oh boy, prices in southcentral Wisconsin must be up through the roof! isn't this like the fourth or fifth major bust? wasn't there one in Waunakee, now these rocket flyentists... creating a greater demand in the community, so people will be desperate to buy where they can, and cops can set up stings, to have criminals approach lookin for drugs, and bang, into the pokey you go! removing the legitimate dealers to make room for the sting dealers! I love it! way to go narcotics task force command! I won't tell anyone that's your plan... although it seems perfectly simple to me. of course, as a conspiracy theory buff, that's what I do, try to figure out what looks like plain stuff, and what looks like a move designed to produce a result
