Fire at Verona Shopping Center
Firefighters respond to blaze at shopping center in Verona.

Firefighters responded to the scene at Collin Cort Shopping Center, located at 600 W. Verona Avenue in Verona.
Katie could see visual damage to the south side of the building.
Businesses in this shopping center include a travel agency, a cell phone company, and a Chinese restaurant.
According to the Verona Fire Chief, a remodeling project was underway, when hot asphalt sparked the fire.
One firefighter injured his hand. Fire crews from Verona, Belleville, Mt. Horeb and Fitchburg responded to the blaze.
The extent of the damage is not known, yet.
As of 3:30 p.m., it fire is out. Crews are on scene wrapping up.
Traffic is being re-routed along W. Verona Avenue.
