Incident report from Madison Police Department:

Date/Time: 07/05/2009 - 8:55 PM
Location: 4900 block of Commercial Ave

Victim and suspect, who were known to each other, engaged in a physical altercation. The two separated and resumed the confrontation at another location.

During the second confrontation the suspect produced a handgun and fired it at the victim striking him in the torso.

Victim was treated at the hospital and later released.

Suspect was interviewed and later booked into the Dane County Jail.

The handgun used in the incident was recovered.
