POSTED: Saturday, December 12, 2009 --- 6:45 p.m.
Tonight for the first time since the tragic quadruple murder of two mothers and their daughters an emotional family is speaking publicly.
The family of Amber Weigel and her daughter Neveah have been through a week of hell but instead are focusing on the wonderful years they did have with the sister and niece they loved.
Sister Nicole Adams says, "That is the word, love. No anger, love, peace, forgiveness."
It is a powerful message delivered by two sisters of Amber Weigel.
Sister Heather Weigel says, "You just have to love. That's all it is. Everyone is a human being and everyone has their struggles and not everyone deals with them. "
8 days after Weigel and her 2 year old daughter Neveah were found gunned down in their own garage by Tyrone Adair, Neveah's father, this family is moving forward with a message of love and forgiveness.
Heather says, "If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have had Neveah and while it was a short two years it was the best two years of Amber's life and probably the best two years of ours."
Nicole says, "You can't focus on the circumstances of how they died because you can't get through that. You have to focus on how they lived and that's what everybody needs to do."
Dozens of pictures and memories fill the tables outside of a memorial service for Amber and Neveah, memories this family wants to share.
Nicole says, "We wanted to make sure that everyone knew that she was a person, that she wasn't just a victim of a crime. Neveah wasn't just some little girl that was killed. They were people, They were so much to so many people."
Heather says, "(she was) Out of the box, not falling in line with what is the normal, what everyone thinks is supposed to be and that's part of the standing up for what she believed in. You don't like it, sorry. "
Nicole says, "Amber was such a great person and such a great mom and we just want to make sure that everyone knows that, how wonderful they were and how much they were loved."
They say Amber was alive, she was fun, a spitfire.
Nicole says, "She was wacky and caring and confident."
They are qualities that will stick with this family forever as they move on remembering the wonderful lives lived, not lost.
Both Heather and Nicole say they went to Adair's funeral yesterday to help with the healing process.

Release from the Madison Police Department:
A spokeswoman has issued a statement for the Weigel family regarding the discovery of Tyrone Adair's body yesterday.
Adair was the suspect in the slayings of Amber Weigel, age 25, and Neveah Weigel-Adair, age 2. Both were found in the garage of their Madison home last Thursday night.
The following was sent to the Madison Police Department for distribution to media from spokeswoman Michaela Purdue:
"Below you will find a statement from the Weigel family in response to authorities finding Tyrone Adair's body yesterday. Unfortunately, no member of the family feels comfortable or prepared to offer interviews at this time. Given the great amount of emotional strain and last minute planning and decision-making involved with losing loved ones, I'm sure you can imagine their collective state of being.
Please accept these words in lieu of interviews. I'm very certain that when a member of the family is prepared to meet with the media they will be in touch".

Weigel Family Statement - RE: Finding Tyrone Adair
The Weigel family is grateful that the search for Tyrone Adair is over and now families can begin to gain a sense of closure. However, we are deeply saddened by all of the loss that everyone is experiencing.
Our love and support goes out to Tracy Judd's family and the Adair family. In particular, we want to thank the Adair family for their cooperation with authorities in their efforts to find Tyrone. Amber always said she could not have asked for a better family for Neveah to have been born into.
At a time like this, where the act of evil can cause us to question or possibly cause a bump in our faith, we are instead remembering the importance of never taking life or love for granted. We also believe in the importance of seeking out personal healing, because oftentimes things like this happen because people can't deal with their struggles in life.
Even though we will never truly know or understand why any of this has happened, our family has chosen to celebrate Amber and Neveah's lives, which we will be doing this weekend at Olbrich's Botanical Gardens.

UPDATE Posted Monday, December 7, 2009 -- 5:38pm
By Zac Schultz
Town of Cottage Grove: The man who killed his two young daughters and their mothers has been found dead of an apparent suicide.
Starting 10pm Thursday night, Tyrone Adair and the vehicle he was driving were the subject of a nationwide manhunt.
For most of that time he was dead, his car sitting near a shed in the Town of Cottage Grove.
Just after 10 Monday morning, a homeowner in the Town of Cottage Grove called police and said he'd found the silver GMC Acadia Tyrone Adair was last seen driving.
Inside, police found two handguns and the body of Tyrone Adair. "At this time it appears that death is the result of a firearm injury," says Dane County Coroner Ray Wosepka.
Investigators now believe Thursday morning Adair killed his girlfriend Tracy Judd-Graser and their 23-month-old daughter Deja. That evening, Adair shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Amber Weigel and Neveah, their two-year-old daughter.
That night Adair criss-crossed Dane County. He was as far west as Dodgeville, but eventually he parked the car next to this pole shed on Natvig Road.
The homeowner saw the vehicle Friday morning, but police say he never looked inside. "He had a friend who would occasionally park a vehicle on this property and so it didn't seem unusual to him that there was a vehicle parked there for a couple of days," says Joel DeSpain, spokesman for the Madison Police Department.
Police can only speculate why Tyrone Adair killed four people and then himself, but court records show he has a history of domestic violence.
In 2006, an ex-girlfriend obtained a restraining order against Adair, after he threatened her and slashed her tires. That should have prevented him from possessing a gun, but police say he bought one off Craigslist.
Last March, Adair got in a fight with Tracy Judd-Graser at their home in the Town of Middleton. Charges of disorderly conduct and intimidating a witness were referred to the District Attorney, but they were not filed. "A decision was made to decline on charging in that case because the facts weren't there for a criminal case," says Dane Co. D.A. Brian Blanchard.
This summer Amber Weigel received full custody of their daughter, and was due to receive $351 a month in child support. Tyrone Adair also lost his job.
On top of that, Dane Co. Sheriff Dave Mahoney says it appears Judd-Graser was looking at breaking up with Adair, and likely kicking him out of her house. "There is some indication that she had spoke to friends and relatives in an attempt to break off the relationship."
Blanchard says all charges will be dropped in connection to the murders because the only suspect is dead. The only other possible charges would be if someone helped Tyrone Adair either before or after the murders, but Blanchard says that is not the case.

Statement from the families involved in Madison investigation:
Words cannot express how deeply devastated we are by the traumatic and sudden loss of Amber Weigel and Neveah Jordan Weigel-Adair.
Amber was our sister, our daughter, our granddaughter and our aunt. She was a loving girlfriend, a dedicated mother, and a loyal friend and ally to many people. She loved and saw promise in every single person. She was so proud of what she had become and what she did with her life, which she demonstrated through her self-proclaimed title "Proud Mama."
She was amazingly enthusiastic about her job at the Montessori Children's House where she was well-loved and appreciated, and where Neveah had just started attending. Neveah was Amber's life. She was a loving little girl, full of spark and personality. Their love and their laughter will be sorely missed by us all.
We are a close-knit group who feels blessed to have a family that extends beyond genetics, which is why we extend our prayers and thoughts to Tyrone Adair's family, particularly to Tyrone's mother because she has also lost a granddaughter, and they have lost a cherished family member.
Please keep our entire family, all the families and every person affected by this tragedy in your hearts and prayers.

Madison: A nationwide manhunt is on for a Middleton man accused of killing two women and the daughters he had with them.
A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Tyrone Adair, but police have no idea where he is.
Thursday evening around 6 o'clock someone found the body of Amber Weigel and her two year old daughter Neveah in the garage of their duplex on Park Edge Drive in Madison. They were shot to death in their car. "It appears that she pulled into the garage and that she and her child were shot shortly after they arrived at home," says Joel DeSpain, spokesman for the Madison Police Department.
At 9:15, Middleton Police opened the trunk of a Chrysler 300 found along Branch Street and found the body of Tracy Judd and her daugther Deja-who would have turned two years old on Christmas day. "Those victims were found in the trunk of the car and that it's likely those homicides took place somewhere else and they were transported in the trunk of the car and left in that location," says DeSpain.
DeSpain says all of the victims are connected to 38 year old Tyrone Adair. "Both of these women who were shot and killed had relationships with this suspect. In addition, we believe the two young children are his biological daughters."
Tyrone two daughters were born three months apart in 2007. He lived with Tracy Judd at her house in Middleton.
Middleton Police say Adair was seen at the Branch Street Retreat Thursday afternoon. It's believe he left in a cab.
According to the felony arrest warrant Adair was last seen leaving Judd's house around 4pm.
Weigel's body was found at 6, and at 7:30 Adair called one of Judd's older daughters and said her mother and sister wouldn't be coming home because they had a bad accident on Branch Street.
Adair told the girl he was behind the WalMart in Dodgeville.
According to court records, Adair stopped visiting his first daughter last March. This summer, he lost partial custody and was ordered to pay $351 a month in child support. Soon after he lost his job.
This is not the first time Adair has threatened a girlfriend. A Madison woman still has a restraining order against Adair from the time in 2006 when he threatened her over the phone, broke into her apartment and slashed her tires.
Just a few months after that episode, Weigel became pregnant with his daughter.
Madison Police say they've been contact with Adair's ex-girlfriends. "He's armed and dangerous," says DeSpain. "He's shown some propensity to act violently to women who've been in his life in the past."
Tyrone Adair is the son of Madison social worker Rita Adair, who became well known for her work during the Hurricane Katrina crisis.
Police say they have been in contact with the family and they are cooperating with the hunt for Tyrone.

Those who knew the victims say they want nothing more than for police to find Adair.
Tonight they fight with the reality that those they knew and loved are gone.
They say when you consider two kids have been murdered, two of the suspects' own children, this whole thing gets even harder to stomach and hard for many to believe.
The cold, calmness of the day in this Southwest Madison neighborhood makes it even harder for those who live here to imagine the terror that went on inside this garage.
It's where police found Amber Weigel and her 2 year old daughter Neveah dead in their own vehicle.
Neighbor Sue Olson says, "The ambulance had pulled up and less than 10 minutes later they carried the child out on the ambulance. They were running on the gurney."
Weigel's friend Aisha Spinks says, "I just, I was in shock I could not believe that this would happen to such a nice person."
Spinks says when she saw police outside the home Thursday night she tried to call Weigel to see if she was OK.
She says, "She was one of the happiest people I've ever met and she especially was happy and a lot of people can't do that. She was happy about her life and her job and her daughter and everything just was going great for her."
Police believe Tyrone Adair killed Amber and the couples 2 year old daughter Neveah and the same day killed girlfriend Tracy Judd and that couple's 1 year old daughter Deja.
Police were searching in and around the home Adair shared with Judd today.
Neighbor Nicole Graham says, "I am concerned about it happening in my back yard. I'm concerned about it happening in anyone's back yard. You know you just hope and pray that it's not you really."
Neighbors say Weigel worked at Montessori Children's House where her daughter Neveah attended daycare.
Spinks says the two were inseparable.
She says, "It's tough and the kids are still shaken up by the whole situation so I think he should be caught."
Again, police say they do not know if Adair is in the Madison area or has fled and are asking anyone who has information or thinks they see Adair to call 911.
He is considered armed and dangerous.

UPDATED Friday, December 4, 2009 --- 3:47 p.m.
According to a felony warrant issued for Adair's arrest, around 9 p.m. Thursday, Middleton police broke into the trunk of Adair's Chrysler and found the bodies of his current girlfriend, Tracy Judd, and their daughter, who would turn two years old on Christmas.
Judd and Adair lived together at Judd's home in Middleton with Judd's daughters from another marriage.
Those daughters told police Tyrone Adair called them around 7:30 p.m. to say their mother and half sister would not be coming home.

First let me be clear that I in no way blame the victims for this. There is only one person ultimately accountable for the horrific and unjust events that occurred. I do wonder though how two beautiful and by all accounts intelligent women got mixed up with a guy who has had MULTIPLE women in his past file restraining orders against him. I learned that with a few simple keystrokes and clicks of a mouse. A guy like that can never be good news. One restraining order maybe, (okay I'm being sarcastic) but several?! And yes, I too had a hard time with the "beloved" reference and the donation solicitation in the obit. I do give people a lot of credit who don't judge and find the best in everyone. I'm just not feeling it with this guy.
Sorry D, but sometimes you have to ask the tough questions to get the right answers for solving the issues at hand. No one is "judging" anyone...just stating the facts. And I think if you look closely at the history of the women involved, there was more than one bad decision that was made. This has become a pattern with many women in society (and yes, even people in our family)...get pregnant by a boyfriend without any sort of commitment, hope for child support or help from family members, break up with that person, move in with someone else, break up with that person, have another kid with someone else, move in with that person, break up with that person, etc. It's pathetic and no child should ever have to endure that lifestyle.
I read in the obit for Tyrone his family was asking for donations instead of flowers. I think they should have asked for donations to be sent to the families of the women and children he killed. Also it made him look like an angel, and said he lived on the East side of Madison. Why?? They seemed so helpful, but now look like something I dont want to say. They should have had a death notice, and place of services, and thats it. There is a lot of judging going on relating to the women. No one enters into a relationship thinking this can turn bad or I could get killed, and once you have a child with someone you can not cut them out of your life 100%. I have a child with a man I can not stand, yet need to speak to him because of the child. These woman didnt ask to end up dead along with their children. My daughter is friends with Tracys twins from school, and I have met her a number of times. It is insulting to her memory and all the families when you pass judgement on them.
