Release from Juneau County Sheriff's Office:

On 3/18/2011, at 9a.m., the Juneau County Sheriff's Office received a report of an individual being accidentally shot at a Town of Kildare residence.

The female victim, age sixty-six, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Coroner's Office.

Initial investigation of the incident revealed that two individuals were handling a firearm when it unintentionally discharged striking the victim.

Foul play is not suspected in the incident.

The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of relatives.

The matter remains under investigation by the Juneau County Sheriff's and Coroner's Office.
