From the Dane County Sheriff's Office:

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is releasing surveillance photos of the suspect in yesterday’s robbery of the People’s State Bank in the Village of Mazomanie.

At approximately 4:34 pm, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 222 W. Commercial Street, where a bank employee reported a man entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then exited the bank and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male of average height and build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, aviator style sunglasses, and had a bandana or scarf covering his mouth and nose.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may recognize this person, or who has information related to this crime, to call the Dane County tip line at (608) 284-6900. Tips can also be sent electronically via the website at www.danesheriff.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

At approximately 4:34pm, Dane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the People’s State Bank, located at 222 W. Commercial Street, in the Village of Mazomanie, after receiving a report of a robbery. An employee reported an individual entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money at which time he exited the bank and fled the area on foot.

Deputies were on scene within several minutes of the call. A perimeter was established and the area was checked with the assistance of a K9 Unit from the Waunakee Police Department, however, the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a white male, with an average height and build. A further description is not available at this time.

The incident currently remains under investigation. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office asks for anyone with information about this robbery to call the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Tipster Hotline at (608) 284-6900.
