Tom Phongsa Arrested, Charged with Four Counts of Possession of Child Pornography
MADISON — On Wednesday, November 14, 2012, Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice -- Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Beloit Police Department, executed a search warrant at the home of Tom Phongsa, located at 2007 Grandview Drive in the City of Beloit.
According to the criminal complaint, a forensic preview of a hard drive from a laptop computer recovered from the home uncovered “numerous contraband files from the hard drive” consistent with child pornography. According to the complaint, in an interview with agents during the execution of the search warrant, the defendant stated, “I didn’t think it’d be a big deal, just a picture and a movie.”
Phongsa has been charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony. An adjourned initial appearance is scheduled for this Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.
