Madison, WI. February 21, 2013 – On Wednesday, February 20th, Dane County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Joshua J. Anstice, age 35 of Blue Mounds, for Endangering Safety with a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts), and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety (2 counts).
The investigation stemmed from a missing person report last week. When detectives began searching for a Mazomanie man that had not been seen by his family for several days, they uncovered information related to Anstice threatening and assaulting the man with a handgun prior to his disappearance. The missing man was soon located and was able to substantiate the assault.
Subsequent search warrants were completed at Anstice’s residence on Green Avenue in Blue Mounds, and his business, The Finishing Touch on Main Street in Cross Plains, where detectives confiscated firearms and ammunition.
