Arrested: Jennifer F. Shaw, age 36
Ms. Shaw has been tentatively charged with felony Child Neglect.

Victim: Male, 14-months

Details: Sunday night, Madison Police were dispatched to the Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Madison East, 2139 East Springs Dr., for a check person complaint. Officers found a mother and her young child in a room. It was determined the 14-month old had been exposed to a liquid chemical that was also in the room.

The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment. His mother has been tentatively charged with felony child neglect. Testing is being done to determine what type of liquid chemical was in the room.
