Community Notification Meeting: Town of Burke In Dane County

Community Notification Meeting

Madison, WI. November 6, 2012 – The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging citizens in the town of Burke to attend a community notification meeting regarding the release of Chad Croissant.

A Core Team evaluates and makes decisions on the level of notification to the community for the release of sex offenders under Wisconsin Statutes 301.45 and 301.46. The Core Team will be holding a Community Notification meeting on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Burke Town Hall, located at 5365 Reiner Road. The Core Team will offer information about the Community Notification Law and the release of Chad Croissant.

Croissant, age 27, has a conviction for 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child. Croissant is still under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and he is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program. A photo of Croissant will be provided at the meeting, as well as more detailed information on his offenses. Authorities will also provide citizens with information about protective behaviors and personal safety.
