Details
A 28-year old man called for police Saturday afternoon claiming an acquaintance had just stolen his money, and that another man had pointed a handgun at him. The victim said the acquaintance called him seeking a ride. He was unable to provide a name or nickname for this man, but said he picked him up in the 700 block of University Ave. According to his story, the acquaintance reached into his pocket, took his money, got out, and started running. The victim said he gave chase and ended up near N. Broom St. and W. Mifflin St. He says he terminated his pursuit when he came upon a gun wielding man wearing ski goggles. This person, again according to the victim, threatened to kill the victim, and the victim returned to his car and called police.
