Press Release from the Janesville Police Department:
On 11/27/12 at 10:02am officers from the Janesville police department responded to a report of a robbery in the 1200 blk of Joliet. A female reported that she had backed her car out of her garage and was stopped on her driveway. She was looking at some papers when a male opened the passenger side door of her vehicle and climbed inside. The male demanded that she give him her money and threatened that he had a weapon. No weapon was displayed. After taking money and some prescription medications from the woman, the suspect fled from the vehicle. He was last seen running in a westerly direction.
The suspect was described as a Male, black, in his 20’s, wearing a black hooded coat and black hat.
Officers checked the area for the suspect, but did not locate anyone matching the description. A K-9 team also assisted in the search.
