UPDATE: Dodgeville Man Killed in Workplace Accident

UPDATED Friday, November 9, 2012 --- 4:05 p.m.

From the Dane County Medical Examiner:

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the man that was involved in the workplace accidental death in the Village of Mazomanie on 11-07-12.

The accident occurred at 341 Walter Road in Mazomanie and it was reported at 0846hrs. The deceased male is identified as:

Mr. Nondorf was working to secure pre-built trusses on a semi- trailer when the accident happened. A forensic autopsy was completed yesterday (11-08-12) at the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. Mr. Nondorf’s death was the result of blunt force injuries he sustained in this workplace accident.

This case remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, OSHA, and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office

MAZOMANIE, Wis. (AP) -- A forklift driver has been killed on the job in Dane County.

The sheriff's department says the 54-year-old Dodgeville man was operating the forklift in the yard at Wick Homes in Mazomanie Wednesday morning when a load of trusses collapsed on him.

The man was moving the trusses onto a flatbed trailer at the time of the accident. Mazomanie and Middleton EMS responded, but the man's injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Madison, WI. November 7, 2012 – At approximately 8:45 am, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Mazomanie and Middleton EMS, responded to 341 Walter Road in Mazomanie.

A 54-year-old Dodgeville man was operating a forklift in the work yard of Wick Homes, when a load of trusses collapsed on top of him. The man was moving the trusses onto a flatbed trailer at the time of the accident. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the man’s injuries were too severe, and he died at the scene.

OSHA will complete an investigation into the incident. The Dane County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name following notification of his family.
