Dozens of underage drinkers were cited at a house party in Beloit Saturday night.
At approximately 10:40 p.m. Saturday night, officers from the City of Beloit Police Department responded to the 900-block of Clary St. in regards to a loud party.
On arrival, officers discovered an underage alcohol party taking place. They initially had contact with more than 40 individuals. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that approximately 23 of the party-goers were below the age of 21. A total of 27 municipal citations were issued. The homeowner was cited for a Noise Ordinance Violation, Furnishing Alcohol to Minors, Sale of Alcohol without a Permit, and Allowing Minors to Drink on Premises. All of the other subjects were cited and were released to a responsible party or on their own recognizance for those of adult status.
