Drunk Driver Escapes Car Fire In Sun Prairie

Information from Sun Prairie Police:

On Saturday, February 09, 2013 at 3:54 a.m. Sun Prairie Police responded to the parking lot area of 1316 Sunfield Street in the city of Sun Prairie for a vehicle fire. Upon arrival officers observed the vehicle to be fully engulfed in flames and one male subject was seen outside of the vehicle. The Sun Prairie Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire.

The male subject, identified as Gregory L. Ruff, age 49, was determined to be the operator of the vehicle and was in the vehicle at the time the fire started. Ruff exited the vehicle once the fire started and received minor injuries as a result. Ruff was subsequently arrested and charged with 4th offense felony OWI. The cause of the fire has been undetermined at this time.

Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

    .....I'm sure this pinhead was studying for his bar exam by candlelight when he power napped and the candle caught the seats on fire... ...ya...pretty sure that's what happened.....
