A suicide overnight in Dodge County involving a former deputy from Columbia County.
Dodge County Sheriff Todd Nehls says 38-year-old David Sadoski was found dead in his vehicle from a gunshot wound.
Sadoski, who lived near Randolph, also set fire to his home.
Sadoski had been a deputy in Columbia County until just recently.
He had been arrested in December on charges of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Statement from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office:
On February 9th, 2012, at 3:04am, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office received a citizen report of a house fire located on CTH G, 2 miles west of STH 73. This residence is located approximately 2 miles south of the Village of Randolph at the Columbia/Dodge County line. It was determined that there were no occupants in the residence at the time of the fire.
The owner of this residence is identified as DAVID M. SADOSKI, age 38.
Sadoski was located just into Dodge County shortly after the report of the house fire. Sadoski was found parked in his pickup truck where he had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Sadoski is a former deputy sheriff with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office where he served for 11 years.
The fire investigation is being conducted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the WI Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation.
The death is being investigated by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, WI Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation, WI State Patrol, Lodi Police Department, Randolph Police Department, and Rio Police Department.
