Updated: Monday, March 25, 2013 -- 10:27 a.m.

A judge set bond Monday for a Green County man accused of child abuse.

Police arrested 23-year-old Eric Wade last Friday at a home in the Town of Exeter.

The Belleville man was allegedly abusing a 17-year-old girl. According to the criminal complaint, the victim says Wade strangled her until she couldn't breathe. She says he also dragged her across the room by her hair, and caused several other injuries.

Wade faces tentative charges of child abuse, strangulation, false imprisonment, and substantial battery. He's still in jail but if he does post his $7,500 signature bond and a $500 cash bond, he will not be allowed to have any contact with the 17-year-old girl.
