Janesville Man Arrested for 4th OWI

POSTED: Monday, January 14, 2013 --- 8:25 a.m.

From the Janesville Police Department:

One 1/14/2013 at 1:30 a.m. Officer Todd Radloff ran the license plate of a vehicle in the area of Milton Ave. and Humes Rd. through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Upon running the registered owner, Timothy Willger, he noticed the driving status of Willger to be revoked with three prior OWI convictions(drivers with 3 or more violations are allowed a BAC of only up to .02). Officer Radloff made a traffic stop on the vehicle at Milton Ave. and Morse St. where he identified the driver as Timothy Willger.

Officer Radloff smelled the odor of intoxicants coming from Willger and he had bloodshot, glassy eyes. He denied drinking at first but later admitted he had been.

Standardized field sobriety tests were given, and Willger showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for 4th Offense OWI (misdemeanor only based on time between last conviction and current violation).

A blood sample was taken and the results of that test are pending. Willger was released to a responsible party.
