Triple-A spokeswoman, Pam Moen says, nationally gas prices are high due to the increase in oil prices.
In the Midwest, we're seeing prices up 24 cents from a month ago.
A few incidents have contributed to the spike, including the gasoline spill in the Milwaukee area a few weeks ago and the Enbridge pipeline rupture in Adam's County last Friday, that spilled 1,200 barrels of oil.
Moen says these issues usually effect prices from one gas station to the other, stations that got their gas before the outages are likely to be a lot cheaper than others.
