Madison Man Charged For Owning Gun, Using Too Much Marijuana

Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced the filing of a one-count criminal complaint in U.S. District Court today, charging Rayshawn Jackson, 19, Madison, Wis., with unlawfully possessing a firearm as a habitual marijuana user. If convicted, Jackson faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Further details of the charges are contained in the attached complaint and affidavit.

The charge against Jackson is the result of an investigation conducted by the Madison Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The prosecution of this case has been assigned to Assistant U.S. Attorney Rita M. Rumbelow.
