Madison Police Respond to Another Oxycontin Robbery

Incident Type: Robbery

Incident Date: 02/22/2013 - 1:56 PM

Address: 8302 Old Sauk Rd. (Walgreens)

Suspect(s): Male, white, short light brown hair, short light brown beard or facial stubble, acne scars on face, slim build, thin nose, 5'8", 150 pounds, late 20's to early 30's, blue eyes, wearing a yellow and black coat with black on shoulders and down sleeves to the elbow.

Details: A west side Walgreens was robbed of Oxycontin Friday afternoon after a nervous man passed, to a pharmacist, a note demanding the addictive opiod. The MPD is working with several other Wisconsin law enforcement agencies on a string of similar crimes.

    What do you think the backlash of that plan might be tho?? You are willing to take the risk and rob for it, what are you going to do when you realize what you go is not the real thing?

    When a pharmacy is held up for a narcotic/opiod why can't they give the robber a fake/substitue drug - a placebo for the real drug? Looks like oxycontin, tastes like oxycontin - but has no kick.
