Madison Snow Plow Update: Monday Morning

Posted Monday, February 4, 2013 --- 11:01 a.m.

From the City of Madison Streets Department:

We received just over 2 inches of snow overnight. We have 30 crews out on our salt routes and will continue to work on those routes today. In addition we will have sand trucks out working on hills, curves, and intersections on residential streets. We plan to continue working on salt routes throughout the day and into the evening.

We do not plan to conduct a general plowing of residential streets at this time. However, we are expecting a new front to pass through Madison that is expected to drop up to two inches of added snow. We will evaluate our options once we see what residential streets look like at that time.
