Madison Theater Asks To Serve Alcohol

Posted: Monday, February 4, 2013 -- 10:57 a.m.

Another Madison movie theater wants to add alcohol to its coming attractions. Marcus Theater's Point Cinema is asking the Madison Common Council to let them open a new bar and eating area at its west-side location.

According to the application. The theater wants to serve beer, wine and cocktails during normal hours, which are 11 a.m. to midnight.

The owners are hoping the new area could be up and running in May.

Sundance cinema is the only Madison-area theater that currently serves alcohol.

The Common Council will introduce the proposal tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m.

Cause this state doesn't have a big enough issue with drinking. Lets offer more opportunities.
