Information from the Madison Police Department:
Incident Type: Found Property
Incident Date: 01/14/2013 - 8:35 AM
Address: 1800 block of E. Johnson St.
Details: A 43-year old Madison woman was walking to work this morning when something caught her eye. It was just off of the sidewalk in the 1800 block of E. Johnson St.: a large denomination bill. At first she thought this was her lucky day. Then she noticed there more bills, lots of bills, in the snow, near the sidewalk. She figured she had better call police. Bills have now inspected and have been determined to be legitimate and in good condition. The exact amount of money found is not being released, but suffice to say it is significant. How the bills came to be spread about in the snow is not known, as there were no other clues found; just the cash.
