One Madison company is on a mission to revive homes, while reviving lives.
John Schneider owns Property Revival. Essentially, the company gives homes new life and neighborhoods a boost.
"What we're trying to do is get into a neighborhood that may have had some foreclosures in the downturn of the economy that we were faced with in the last 7 to 10 years” says Schneider.
The company's been around for 5 years and built over 100 homes.
Right now, Property Revival is working on a home for Joshua Clauer. Clauer wanted a new home, but he was faced with a few road blocks: finding a property that met his needs and one he could afford.
"I just think it's a great opportunity to take an old house and make it new” says Clauer about Property Revival.
Property Revival is fixing up a home for Clauer in Madison's Burr Oaks neighborhood, customizing it to meet Clauer's needs. Then in about three months, he'll move in.
While the economy is improving, it still has a way to go.
But, Schneider says it's getting better one home at a time.
