Madison man robbed by two suspects on bikes

Madison Police say a man was robbed early Sunday morning by two bicyclists.

The 39-year-old victim was walking in the 100 block of S. Bassett St. around 1:05 that morning.

The bicyclists approached him and asked if he'd like to buy one of their bikes for $5.

The victim asked if the bikes were stolen, and the suspects said they were not.

The victim pulled cash out of his pocket, and one robber grabbed it. Both peddled off.

The bikes were described as being dark in color with women's style frames. The victim thought one was a Huffy.

Police describe the suspects as:
1. Male, black, 20-22 years old, 5'9" to 5'10", 145 lbs., medium build, wearing a white hat, blue & white t-shirt and possibly shorts.
2. Male, black, 20-22 years old 5'7", 135 lbs., medium build, wearing a red t-shirt and possibly shorts.
