Man Arrested In Madison For 7th OWI

From Dane County Sheriff's Department:

At approximately 2:19am, a Dane County Sheriff’s Office Deputy arrested Brett R. Lunney, age 35, of Green Bay, for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated - 7th Offense.

The deputy observed a vehicle speeding as it traveled westbound on STH 30, near Fair Oaks Avenue, in the City of Madison. When the deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, contact was made with Lunney, who subsequently failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Lunney was arrested on the Felony OWI Offense, a Probation Hold and was cited for Speeding.

He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail.

    This pathetic culture of drinking and DRIVING will continue killing and injuring and costing unless and until our pathetic law makers stop it. No one is telling anyone they cannot drink - grab a bottle of JD and a case of beer and sit in your house. The only ones at risk then are the EMT's who have to deal with your 4 day old body after having a cardiac arrest or falling down the stairs. You will have the respect you deserve at the funeral of not endangering little Suzie coming back from dance class or anyone else who does not deserve to be victim to your decision to drink and DRIVE. But - as I say, our law makers are...............
