UPDATE: Man Holds Up Fitchburg Walgreens For Oxycontin

UPDATED Friday, January 11, 2013 --- 4:10 p.m.

The Fitchburg Police Department continues to investigate the robbery that occurred on January 10, 2013 at the Walgreen’s located at 2931South Fish Hatchery Road. We are releasing the following video surveillance photo of the subject suspected of committing the robbery. Anyone with information regarding the identity of this subject or this robbery is asked to call the Fitchburg Police Department at 608-270-4300 or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.

Information from the Fitchburg Police Department:

On January 10, 2013, at approximately 4:55pm, officers of the City of Fitchburg Police Department responded to the Walgreens Pharmacy, at 2931 S. Fish Hatchery Rd. for a report of a robbery. According to the pharmacy staff, a white male subject, approximately 5’6”-5”10” weighing approximately 140 pounds, entered the store and approached the pharmacy counter. The subject demanded Oxycontin pills and implied that he had a weapon. The pharmacy staff complied and the suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of Oxycontin pills.

The suspect was wearing a black jacket over a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and Timberland style work boots. The suspect concealed his identity by pulling the hooded sweatshirt over his head and face.
