Victim With Life-Threatening Injuries After Janesville Shooting

Janesville Police responded Friday after a shooting that sent one man to the hospital. It happened around 3:45 p.m. at 2807 Afton Rd.

The investigation revealed that A 27-year-old male suffered a bullet wound to the neck. The male victim was transported to the Mercy Hospital Trauma Center where he is being treated with life threatening injuries. Saturday morning Mercy officials said he is still in "serious condition."

Police arrested 34-year-old Deadrick J. Vance at the scene. He's being tentatively charged with Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide.
