Madison Police say a man allegedly shot out two Madison Metro bus windows with a pellet gun Sunday night.

The bus was driving in the 2300 block of Allied Dr. around 9:45 that night when it happened.

A mother and her two-year-old child sat in the seat next to one of the damaged windows.

Officers found a 20-year-old suspect in a nearby apartment thanks to the help of some good descriptions from witnesses.

Marlon Thompson was cited for criminal damage to property and discharging firearm in city limits. Police say they found a pellet gun beneath a couch cushion in the apartment.
