UPDATED Thursday, June 21, 2012 --- 4:45 p.m.

According to everyone we spoke with who knew Daniel Wise, a Madison native, nothing was wrong with him. He was going to Madison College and looking forward to transferring to the UW. He'd just gotten back from a cruise with his grandparents, brother and other family members. He never gave any indication that something was wrong. So when he didn't come home from work yesterday everyone close to him immediately started to wonder, where is Daniel?

Doug Wise, Daniel's father says, " Come home. If he's depressed or needs help our arms are open. "

Emotions flowed out of the family of 21-year-old Daniel Wise. His father, mother and brother were joined by friends downtown Wednesday to hang fliers. All of them say they just wanted Daniel to come home.

Donna, Daniel's mother says, " It's very scary because we love Dan and we just want him to be by us. We just want to know where he is. It's just out his character and he always answers me back and he always texts me and tells me he loves me. So we just want Dan back with us."

Tyler Juelich thought he was the last person to see Daniel. Juelich is staying with Wise and his roommate Brian at their North Bedford Street apartment. He says Wise got up, showered and left for work as planned Wednesday morning.

Juelich says, " It didn't seem like he was around the house trying to get essential items or anything. It just seemed like a normal day. He left on time."

Tyler may not have seen him last. Someone or something may have gotten a glimpse of Daniel after Tyler. According to his friends and family Daniel or some one with access to his checking account took out $300 from his account. His roommate, Brian Martin, says it's not like Wise to carry that amount of cash.

" That's really unusual. He usually has some cash with him but it's usually about $20 if not less. It's just like some food money. "

There's at least one more strange fact about Daniel's disappearance.
Wise apparently left his phone at his apartment when he left for work on Wednesday morning. His mother says that is definitely not like him.

" The next day I texted him in the morning about just some school, FAFSA stuff and I didn't hear back from him. Then I contacted his brother and said have you heard from him and he said no. "

We are thankful that Dan and his family and friends have been reunited. When you have lived through something like this you understand that so much more is going on then what the public knows or should know. Thankful for the people who understand this and reach out to help. Blessings of healing and peace to all involved.

What a ridiculous use of resources, searching for a 21 year old, able bodied male. I don't recall any search like this in the past. Probably just wanted to get away from that nagging mother of his, per his quote on another website "I just wanted to get away". She should pay for all public resources put towards this wasted effort to find her missing little darling.

Sara, he is an adult. He doesn't have to tell him mommy and daddy, or roommate when he is leaving the house. For crying out loud. I don't call my mommy when I leave my apartment. Should I? You sound like the jerk.

I am glad that he was found. But he should have not just left without saying anything to his room mate or family about what his intent was. That is a mark of a jerk. Considering his age there is still hope that he might eventualy stir himself in the right direction. As of now he still thinks that the whole world revolves only around him. Now that they know he is OK, his family should forget about him and concentrate on their own needs. Let the ingrate figure out what to do with the rest of his life.
