Madison Police arrested a man Saturday night for breaking down apartment doors. He was apparently looking for his ex-wife's apartments.
Dispatchers took a call around 11:25 that night. A caller said a stranger knocked on her door of her Moorland Rd. apartment. She told him to go away, but he allegedly returned and kicked the door in.
He reportedly appeared drunk, and quickly apologized and left.
While officers were investigating, dispatchers took another call of a man breaking down a door in another nearby apartment building. Residents there thought there had been a burglary, but nothing was missing.
A third call then came in from another building. Turns out, a woman said her ex-husband was at her door, but he was not going to let him in.
Officers arrived and arrested 31-year-old Yimer Obando-Espinal, for Criminal Damage to Property - 2 counts, Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct and on a Warrant.
A witness of the prior break-ins told police he could hear the man yelling something about being hungry and wanting to go to sleep.
