UPDATE: Warrants released in missing Milwaukee woman case

UPDATED Monday, January 20, 2014 --- 6:46 p.m.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Search warrants provide new details of the investigation into the disappearance of 27-year-old Kelly Dwyer last October.

While police have publicly called it a missing person case, WISN-TV reports that investigators said in the newly unsealed warrants they were looking for evidence of homicide and hiding a corpse.

Dwyer was last seen with her boyfriend, Kris Zocco, Oct. 10. He is not charged in her disappearance, but was charged with drugs and child pornography possession after police searched his apartment. He's free on bail.

The warrants say a cadaver dog hit on Dwyer's scent in five locations in Zocco's apartment building, including at a trash chute, a first-floor trash room, and near a trash bin.

Police searched a suburban Milwaukee landfill in October but haven't said what they found.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A Milwaukee man who's charged with 17 counts of possession of child pornography has pleaded not guilty.

Online court records say 38-year-old Kris V. Zocco was bound over for trial Tuesday. A judge kept Zocco's bail at $250,000.

The charges carry a maximum penalty of 255 years in prison and a $1.7 million fine.

His defense attorney, Michael Levine , did not immediately return a message.

Zocco also faces drug charges in a separate case. Prosecutors say Zocco and his 27-year-old girlfriend used drugs on Oct. 10, shortly before the woman went missing. Authorities have been searching a suburban Milwaukee landfill for clues, although Zocco is not charged in Kelly Dwyer's disappearance.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Police are hoping to find evidence in a Menomonee Falls landfill about the disappearance of a Milwaukee woman who has been missing for over two weeks.

Because the investigation is ongoing, the Milwaukee Police Department is releasing few details. Police found nothing in the landfill on Saturday, but Lt. Mark Stanmeyer says the search resumed Sunday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Kelly Dwyer's mother reported her missing Oct. 12 after she failed to show up for work. She hadn't been back to her apartment and hadn't been using her cellphone.

Dwyer's boyfriend has been arrested twice in recent days, once on drug charges and another for possession of child pornography. He has told police he and Dwyer snorted cocaine together Oct. 10, but he has denied involvement in her disappearance.
