ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) -- The Antigo elementary school principal facing drug charges has resigned, ending the district's investigation into allegations against him.
The Antigo School Board accepted John Lund's resignation at a special meeting Thursday night. Lund had been on unpaid leave after eight drug charges were filed against him.
School district attorney Dean Dietrich says the investigation of four other Antigo School District educators linked to the Lund case continues. They are on paid leave, but have not been charged. The Wausau Daily Herald (http://wdhne.ws/zlLl48) reports that according to court documents, the four have admitted using marijuana. Dietrich expects the investigation into the four to be completed in a week or two.
The 47-year-old Lund, who was also the high school football coach, is charged with possessing and delivering marijuana and maintaining a drug house.
