Release from Columbia County Sheriff's Office:

William Markus has been found and is now safely with family. Markus became lost and disoriented in a large wooded area near CTH DL in Sauk County. Markus was found around 7:30pm.

We just checked with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office -- William Paul Markus is still missing.

Release from Columbia County Sheriff's Office:

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking community help in locating a male individual that is missing from the area of STH 78 in Caledonia Township, Columbia County WI. Caledonia Township is located south west of Portage, Wisconsin along Lake Wisconsin.

Missing is William Paul Markus male/white age 52 of Kansas City, MO. Markus was last seen wearing a plaid short sleeved shirt and shorts. Markus has medical conditions including being diabetic. Markus is without his medication. Markus has been missing since early 08/16/2012 and is believed to be on foot.

Anyone with information about William Paul Markus’ whereabouts is requested to call Columbia County Sheriff at 608-742-4166 or their local law enforcement agency.
