Guess what? If you don't like the fact that store's are not responsible for your stupidity with credit cards, no one is forcing you to have them. You can use cash.

I see people doing this all the time at stores...people it is easier to watch your items ....at times there are alot of people at certains items on a shelf but others will walk up to get something and of course they don't have room for a cart so leave it there...just wait til the crowd over the shelf has left the area....can't be that much in a hurry

Bonnie, credit cards don't have to ask you for ID. The signature on the back of the credit card is all they are required to check. The credit card company will eat the cost if the store followed the proper procedures and the credit card owner will not be required to pay for those charges. For this amount, they may spend a few minutes trying to track down the thief.

It should not be hard to find the person who did this all the card company has to do is look to see where the purchases were and go from there. I would not be to happy with the businesses cause WTH why are they not asking to see an ID
