Press Release from the Rock Co. Sheriff's Office:

On Monday, January 14, 2013, Rock County Detectives received information that the suspects from Friday’s (01/11/13) home invasion in Fulton Township were in the Wisconsin Dells area, possibly at the Kalahari Resort. Rock County Detectives contacted the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office requesting their assistance and advised them that Rock County Detectives were en-route to Sauk County to look for the suspects.

Shortly after being notified, Lake Delton Police observed the suspect vehicle containing 4 individuals leaving the area of the Kalahari. Lake Delton Police attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle fled and a short chase ensued. The vehicle eventually stopped in front of the Crystal Grand Theater and all 4 occupants fled on foot. Christopher Kimps and Sarah Buckingham were apprehended almost immediately. Jesse Adams and Kayla Pearson disappeared into a large wooded area. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office coordinated with numerous local police agencies and set up a perimeter. Canine Units, as well as a helicopter, were utilized in tracking the suspects. After several hours, Jesse Adams was taken into custody approximately one mile away from where the suspect vehicle had stopped.

The Canine Units were brought back to the area of the stop and a short time later, Kayla Pearson was found hiding near a building in the woods within 100 yards of the vehicle from which they had fled.

All 4 subjects were returned on Monday night to Rock County and held at the jail.

Twenty-one long guns were located in the vehicle from which the suspects fled. Twenty of the guns found were identified as being stolen from the victim’s residence in Rock County.

Kayla Pearson was a friend of the victim’s son. All 4 suspects will be going to Jail Court on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 4:00PM.

Rock County authorities are looking for two men who stole about 30 guns from a single house along with cash and a truck.

A Rock County sergeant tells NBC15 the suspects entered a home in the Town of Fulton on West Miles Road around 11 p.m. Friday night. Fulton is just south of Edgerton.

The preliminary investigation shows a man and his wife were home at the time when two suspects wearing dark colored ski masks, believed to be white males in their late teens or early twenties, approximately 5’7” to 5’9” tall, and of slim build, entered the residence through an unlocked door, held both homeowners hostage at gunpoint and demanded access to a safe. The suspects took several long guns, a few handguns and some ammunition, along with an undetermined amount of cash, and fled the scene in a red, 2011 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup (Wisconsin Dual Purpose Farm plate GL7661), which also belonged to the couple.

The male homeowner was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville where he was treated and released for minor cuts and a bloody nose. The female was not injured during the incident, which remains under investigation at this time.

Both suspects are still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. If located, citizens are strongly encouraged to contact the Rock County Communications Center at (608) 757-2244.
