Details: Three young teens were arrested for armed robbery Friday night after a Walgreens manager attempted to stop them for stealing candy and condoms. The manager had initially spotted the 13-year olds taking candy and stuffing it in their pockets while inside his S. Whitney Way store. He told them to put it back, that they didn't need to get in trouble over this. The employee said the boys next set off the security alarm as they left. That’s why he followed them into the parking lot. Once again, he asked they return items not paid for, or he would need to call police. He says at least two, and maybe all three, of the boys brandished knives as one threw a $15 package of condoms at him. Another shouted, "Don't you call the (expletive) police!" Frightened and disturbed, the manager did summon the MPD.

The suspects had gotten onto a bus at the nearby West Transfer Point, and were arrested before it pulled away. Three knives were recovered: a 7-inch steak knife, a 5 1/2 inch steak knife, and a 4 1/2 inch steak knife. One suspect said he carries one for protection, another said he was cutting food earlier and had forgotten he had left the blade in his pocket. There was also some candy found on the bus. It was near the area where the suspects had been seated.

These boys aren't our future. They'll end up in prison and never contribute to society.
